In-Line NOx/SOx Filters
Emissions from appliances that burn oil, wood, pellets and biomass can contain high levels of nitric oxide (NO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and sulphur dioxide (SO2). The presence of these gases can cause errors when carbon monoxide is being measured with electrochemical sensors.
Sensor manufacturers recommend that an in-line filter is used to remove the NO, NO2 and SO2. Such filters do not affect the CO concentration.
The Kane SF9 can be used to remove NOx and SOx. The purple material within the filter changes colour to a muddy brown as it absorbs the NOx and SOx . It will eventually lose its effectiveness when totally brown and will need to be replaced.
Unexpected changes in readings of CO will indicate that the filter is exhausted and needs replacement.
Re-ORDER PART NUMBER is SF9/5. This is a pack of 5 in-line filters.
