Adding 20% Hydrogen to Natural Gas won’t impact FGAs approved to EN50379
As the UK’s only manufacturer of domestic FGAs approved to EN50379 using Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide sensors to measure flue gas emissions, KANE was very interested in research checking whether a Gas Safe engineer’s FGA would be compromised by the UK’s plan to add 20% Hydrogen to Natural Gas to help decarbonise our environment.
Research at Keele University confirmed FGAs independently approved to EN50379 are not affected by this plan which means Gas Safe engineers can play their part helping the UK decarbonise its environment using already approved Flue Gas Analysers.
See how these tests were conducted and what they concluded in the recently published Technical Bulletin TB157 attached here: https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/track?uri=urn%3Aaaid%3Ascds%3AUS%3A954f9c55-0310-46ec-9d26-0732b9b04f35
