New research finds CO levels above WHO limits in over 80% of vehicles.
The pilot study, led by Dr Sophie Duggan of Imperial University, was funded by the CO Research Trust with CO dataloggers supplied by KANE.
It confirmed 27 of 33 vehicles tested exposed passengers to unknowingly harmful levels of CO, the Silent Killer toxic gas.
It highlights all vehicle passenger compartments should be regularly tested for CO - an easy task when using a KANE79 CO monitor & logger with simultaneous engine exhaust tests using a KANE Handheld Engine Analyser.
We are grateful to Dr Duggan for her peer reviewed research and ask regulators to include a passenger compartment CO test during mandatory inspection.
KANE Engine Analysers are used by regulatory authorities worldwide including Egypt, Jordan & Pakistan and also sold by global companies such as Snap-On Tools.
