In 2017, Leigh Genesis F.C. partnered with a local adult disability day service to bring inclusive football opportunities to our community. Since then, the team has grown into a vibrant dedicated group, training every Friday and competing in the Lancashire Ability Counts League.
The team recently received a donation of branded footballs from KANE, which was met with huge excitement from the players. “They couldn’t wait to get the new footballs out on the pitch and start scoring goals,” said one of the team coaches. The support was more than just a gift it was a symbol of recognition and encouragement for the players.
For many team members, football is more than a sport, it’s a vital part of their lives, providing an opportunity to form friendships, connect with the wider community, and boost physical fitness and mental wellbeing.
“The players light up when they hear about people or businesses backing them,” added a club representative. “Football gives them a sense of belonging and achievement that means everything.”
KANE are proud to support such a good cause in our community.
